Some good psychoactive drugs would come in handy right now, which I would push straight into my ear so they'd be closer to my brain. Ear suppositories. Isn't suppository also a kind of verb? I could swear I've read about suppository verbs. YES! I know! The verbs shove, stick and ram are all suppository verbs.

Yes, you can insert an insert into your ear but don't even think of trying it with a ram. Then again, you could wedge a wedge or pursuade some suede into your ear. This would have prevented the banging-induced hearing loss the we are all bound to experience. Better to assist some List or try hidin' some Hydan in your ear or pour a whole bunch of Shostekovitch till you smile for Miles. As my friend Walter from NJIT fame says: count basie, thats all stan gets.
